What We Do -- Water Management
An estimated 1.1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. As a result, more than 2.1 million people die annually from waterborne diseases. Church World Service seeks to increase the capacity of our local partners to provide clean, safe water for both drinking and domestic use; as well as education and training for improved community health, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Additionally, CWS and its partners seek to empower communities with improved water and land management technologies to increase their opportunities for household food security and economic growth.
